Notes - Wadleigh was a naval career officer and was naval Aviator Number 19 USN on the earliest list for that designation. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1910 and left the service in 1945 with the rank of Captain. In World War I, he was in France 1918-1919 commanding officer at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Fromentine. He served on several bases, San Diego, Cape May, an adviser to the Brazilian government on aviation.
