Notes - E. B. Huntington, A Genealogical Memoir of the Lo-Lathrop Family, p. 152–153.
"After [Harriet Wadsworth Lathrop's] death Mr. Winslow married again, in 1835, Mrs. Catherine (Waterbury) Carman by whom he had one daughter, Catherine Waterbury [Winslow], who died in infancy. He married, for his third wife, in 1838, Anne Spiers, an English lady of Madras, and had by her two children, Miron Winslow, Jun., and Archibald Spiers Winslow.
"He married for his fourth wife in 1845, Mrs. Mary W. Billings Dwight, widow of Rev. R. O. Dwight; and for his fifth wife, in 1857, Ellen Augusta Reed of Boston, Mass. His own death occurred at Capetown, Cape of Good Hope, Oct. 22, 1864.
"Rev. Mr. Winslow, D.D., LL.D., was born Dec. 11, 1789, in WIlliston, Vt., and was son of Nathaniel and Anna (Kellogg) Winslow, whose ancestors were Nathaniel, Kenelm, Nathaniel, and Kenelm of Marshfield, Mass., who was son of Edward Winslow of Droitwich, England. Two of his brothers, Gordon and Hubbard, were also Doctors of Divinity and eminent men. (See Historical and Genealogical Reg., July, 1865, p. 272.)
'His children by his first wife were all born in Ceylon: Charles Lathrop Winslow, born Jan. 12, 1821, and died May 24, 1883. His memoir is published by the American Tract Society, and is a pleasant tribute to the youthful promise and piety of the missionary son; Harriet Maria Winslow, born Feb. 28, 1822, and died in November, 1825; Joanna Winslow, born Feb. 5, 1825, and married (1), Rev. Mr. Clark, and (2) George S. King; George Morton Winslow, born May 12, 1827, and died Aug. 15, 1828; Harriet Lathrop Winslow, born Apr. 19, 1829, and married Rev. John W. Dulles. They went in 1848 as missionaries to Madras, where she died Sept. 1, 1861; Eliza Coit Winslow, born Jan. 4, 1831, and married Henry M. Leavitt. She died Augu. 11, 1861."
