    • Mason was president and later board chairman of Rawlings Manufacturing Co. Mason and Celia traveled the world to see art and architecture and made seasonal trips to their home in Naples and their camp in the Adirondacks.

      During World War I, he served in the U.S. Navy in Rhode Island, becoming a provisional ensign 29 May 1918.
