Notes - After the Revolutionary War, Abner moved to Fairfield county, South Carolina. There he first had a plantation at Dutchmans Creek on the Wateree River, which he kept when he moved to a plantation "Vauxhall" at Longtown. He was a justice of the quorum court at Fairfield county, and in 1814and 1816 he was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. In his will, dated 1 June 1824 and proved 21 July 1830, he mentions his hometown of Elizabethtown, his wife Polly, all his living children, both his plantations, many slaves, and a planned family burial vault.
