  • Notes
    • In 1930, Margaret donated the $50,000 needed by a local group of citizens to purchase a 500-acre, pristine cabbage palm-live oak forest, Hooker Hammock, near Sebring, Highlands County, Florida. A private, non-profit corporation, the Tropical Florida Parks Association, was formed to manage the park. Until her death, she was a charter member of the corporation.
