    • Jim was inducted into the United States Army Air Corps on March 2, 1942 at Fort Benjamin Harrison during World War II. James Earl served in the 1045th Army Air Forces Base Unit with the rate of Technical Sergeant. He served in the campaigns of the Rhineland and was honorably discharged on October 25, 1945 from Davis Monthan Field in Tucson, Arizona. He received the EAME Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Medal and the American Theater Ribbon. James Earl graduated from the Missouri Aviation Institute of Automotive and Electrical School. James Earl returned home and resided in the Madison Community and began farming. James Earl enjoyed mechanical work and automobiles and began a twenty year career with Bennett Motors Oldsmobile Cadillac Dealership in Madison as the service manager retiring in 1970. He then served as service manager at Hoffman Motors in Madison for two years. James Earl was a member of the North Madison Baptist Church where he had served as trustee. He enjoyed residing in Florida during the Winter months and held membership in the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida and had served as trustee there as well. James Earl enjoyed traveling, gardening, farming, and automobiles.
