  William was a World War II veteran and served in the South Pacific. After the war, Bill married Carolyn Mostert of Delhi, and they moved to Pennsylvania, where he became a dairy farmer. They had three children. Tiring of the cold weather, Bill moved his family to Darien, Ga., in 1960, then to Sorrento, Fla., in 1968. He retired in 1990 from Electron Machine as a welder. Bill was an elder in the Presbyterian Church of Sorrento, Fla. He was an avid bowler and loved to play golf.
