  Josiah was a practicing physician of some note in Kensington, and was also the first physician in the parish of New Cambridge, now Town of Bristol, Connecticut. He bought a house and 3 acres in the parish of Worthington, with other lots same year. In 1770, he brought land the North West Quarter, near Middletown Upper Houses. His last place of residence was New Hartford, Connecticut.
