Notes - After leaving Yale, Harold was variously engaged years and then entered the employ of the Variety Iron & Steel Works Company of Cleveland in May 1899 the capacity of contracting engineer where he October 1908. The next three years he spent in Leipsic, Germany, in the study of the violin and musical composition; returning to Los Angeles, California, where he was a professor of music. He was a member of the Rowfant Club of Cleveland.
