    • Marion attended schools in Auberry and Clovis, graduating from Clovis High School. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was self-employed as a household appliance repairman while living in Clovis.

      Marion was a founder of the Clovis-Dry Creek Historical Society; an ex-noble grand humbug of the Jim Savage Chaper 1822, E Clampus Vitus; secretary-treasurer of the Fowler Friday Evening Club; and president of the Transierra Roisterous Alliance of Senior Humbugs (TRASH). He was a member of the Mensa Society; the Garden of the Sun Corral of Westerers International; the Society of Calfornia Pioneers; and the Fresno County Historical Landmarks Advisory Commission. He also was active in the Clovis High School Band Boosters, the Parent-Teacher Association and Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts groups.
