Notes - Emory was a veteran of the Army Air Corp serving from 1942 to 1946. He was taught to fly in a bi-plane by a 1930's barnstorming stunt pilot. He was co-pilot of a B-25 with the 15th Air Force, 451st and 461st bomber groups. In July 1944 he was shot down over Linz, Austria, and spent ten months in Stalag Luft 1. He escaped prison camp in April 1945. He was overtaken by Russian soldiers on his way to Allied lines and traveled with them until being repatriated to the British a month later.
In 1960, he began a real estate career that lasted 35 years. He was an avid hunter. He was a gentle person and an animal lover. He loved his family and they will all miss him.
