• Notes

  Karl was an attorney. He prepared for college at the Horace Mann School in New York City. He entered Columbia with the Class of 1906 and remained for one year, leaving to enter Yale with the Class of 1907. Owing to illness he was obliged to leave college, but returned in the Class of 1908 at the beginning of Junior year. During his course he has been a frequent contributor to the college magazines, having eight articles in the Lit. and one in the Courant. He also won the Pundit Prize in 1907.
