Notes - Elizabeth's cousin was General David Forman, head of the Monmouth County Committee of Retaliation, a vigilante group that used their power to plunder and physically abuse peaceful Crown sympathizers and to settle private grudges during the Revolutionary War. He was also present when John's father, Nathaniel, was killed by Loyalists.
In Elizabeth's will, dated 24 December 1845 and probated 14 July 1848, she named her sons Henry and John, and her daughter, Eleanor. She left Henry 160 acres of land in Daviess county, made John her executor, and left Eleanor a black horse.
