• Notes

  Arthur served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He retired from civil service at Sheppard Air Force Base after working for many years as a warehouse manager. In the early 1960's, he also served as deputy sheriff of Wichita County. He and Merle devoted much of their time and labor to their farm near Thornberry. Charter members of Trinity Baptist Church, Merle and Art served there in numerous capacities with he as deacon and she as the church clerk and organist.
