  Keff was ordained a Presbyterian Minister 14 September 1875. In 1889, he was the pastor of the 3rd Presbyterian Church, in Atlanta, Georgia. He then served in Darien, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
