    • Samuel graduated from Princeton College and Seminary. He was a professor of mathematics in Lafayette College, Pennsylvania. Afterwards he resided in Belton, Texas, dying of yellow fever (Belton wasn't founded until about 1850; wasn't named until 12 January 1852).
