  Annie moved to Oklahoma City with her family in 1930. By 1949, after the birth of her three children, she attended Central State College and received a degree in elementary education. She began her career teaching Kindergarten, but moved up to fourth grade the next year. In 1959, the family moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where "Bob" was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base. It was back to Oklahoma for a couple of years where Annie received a Master's degree from Central State. Then they went to Bangkok, Thailand in 1965. Annie enjoyed very much teaching at the International School there where children from all over the world attended. They came back to Midwest City, Oklahoma, in 1969.
