    • George attended Montclair High School and Newark Academy. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a lieutenant junior grade. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1949 and Cornell Law School in 1952. He was employed at John Hancock Insurance in Parsippany for 35 years, retiring in 1995. George was a member of Montclair Lions Club. He was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Football Giants, and the Montclair Mounties. He also loved the ocean.
