  William was principal of the T.T. Minor school in Seattle, Washington, at the time of his marriage. He was thirty six when he married. When Dorr died, William left the Seattle area, settled in the North Shore of Chicago and assumed presidency of the Felt and Tarrant Co. He died of cancer (he was an avid outdoorsman and chewed tobacco) in the mid to late thirties.
