  • Notes
    • During the Revolutionary War, Elijah served as a private. Capt. Jacob Gould's company, Col. Greaton's regiment; muster roll dated 1 Aug 1775; enlisted 2 May 1775; service, 13 weeks. He also served in
Capt. Gould's company, 36th regiment; company return [probably Oct 1775], dated Fort No. 2, Cambridge; the word "Canedy" follows above name, probably meaning that said Haydon had marched to Quebec. He then served in Capt. Joseph Trufant's company; order for bounty coat or its equivalent in money dated Weymouth, 30 Dec 1775. He then was found as a private, Capt. Joseph Trufant's (Independent) company; enlisted 1 Jan 1776; service, 1 mo., at Weymouth.

Records show that he moved to Boston after 1765.
