Notes - Pauline moved to Orlando, Florida, in 1914. There she met her first husband, Captain Edgar A. Ball, while playing in his orchestra, the Central Florida Symphony. They moved to Gainesville in 1934, beginning long careers as music teachers at Riverside Military Academy and later beginning the music program at the then South Hall High School. After Captain Ball retired, Pauline taught piano at their home on Virginia Circle. She and her second husband, Wellman L. Scudder, moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1977.
