  Early in life, Quincy worked for the "Suffolk Bulletin" in Huntington. Later he was the Long Island correspondent for the "Brooklyn Times" and the "Brooklyn Eagle". Prior to his death, he operated a kennel for English setter dogs at Plainfield, New Jersey.
