Miss Janice Angell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Angell of Parma, and Glenn Cooper, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper of Homer, were married June 12 at the home of the bride's parents in Parma. Rev. John W. Kitching, pastor of First Presbyterian church, officiated. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. James Brown of Albion.
Albion's 1940 population will appear in census statistics as less than in 1930, unless at least 33 citizens report they were missed. The 1940 census was placed at 8,291, as compared with 8,324 for 1930.
Among the men graduating from the U.S. Military academy at West Point was Joseph William Gildart, fourth member of the family, headed by the late William B. Gildart, who published the new defunct Albion Leader, weekly newspaper.
