    • Eddie was raised in Lafayette and was a 1945 graduate of Jefferson High School in Lafayette. She began her secretarial career at the Haywood Publishing Company in Lafayette, until moving to Vevay in 1949. She was employed as a pharmacy clerk at Sullivan's Drug Store in Vevay for several years. She continued her secretarial career at the U.S. Shoe Factory in Vevay, retiring after 22 years of service. After her retirement, she was employed at Rickett's Jewelry and the Rickett's Gift Shop at the Ogle Haus Inn in Vevay for seven years as a clerk. She also worked in the deli at the Vevay IGA for several years. She was a member of the Switzerland Baptist Church, the Vevay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 185, the Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority for over 30 years, the Switzerland County Historical Society and the Bells of St. Mary's Home Economics' Club. She also participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and helping others.
