  "Israel [Jr], born in Norwich, Feb. 1, 1687, and married, June 20, 1710, Mary Fellows. Her name appears on the roll of the West Farms Church as early as 1721. After her death he married 2), June 9, 1747, Mrs. Sarah Tuttle. He settled on the eastern declivity of Blue Hill, in the southwest part of the present town of Franklin, Conn. He was considerably in official life, both military and civil, and was an active man in promoting all the interests of society. His will, bearing date 22 March 1758, named as legatees, his wife Sarah; his deceased son Israel's three daughters, Ann, Lois, and Ednah; his daughter Mary Birchard; daughter Catharine Hackly; youngest daughter Prudence; and his sons Jedidiah, Simeon and Ezekiel."
