"Samuel II, born ca 1675–79; died 31 Aug 1764 (age 85–90), Newtown. His will fails to name a wife but identifies 4 children.
Samuel III, born ca 1700; died 1771, Newtown. Samuel apparently married at least three times but left no surviving children. On 23 Feb 1766, about five years before his death, he married Abigail Woodward, who died 19 Apr 1767. In his will (dated 23 Aug 1771, probated 11 Nov 1771), he named his then wife as Helena. Samuel left most of his estate to his sister Sarah, on the death of whom, it was to go to Sarah and Samuel Denman, children of his sister Deborah Denman (of New Jersey). [Surrogate's Office, NYC, Vol VIII, 1771–79, p 6.]
Mary, married Peter Renne. [NY Mail and Express. 18 Feb 1905, (genealogical column).]
Sarah, died unmarried.
Deborah, married Daniel (or David) Denman of Elizabeth Town, NJ, on 22 Mar 1761, and had two children: Sarah and Samuel Denman. [Surrogate's Office, NYC, Vol VIII, 1771–79, p 6.]
Note: Much of the information on the children and grandchildren of Samuel (II) comes from the records of the Newtown (now Elmhurst) Presbyterian Church, indicating that few probably remained members of the Society of Friends."
