Notes - Some of Hannah's children here listed are under review. Please be patient while we systematically work through our publications and vast papers collection to resolve issues. There was more than 1 William Smith at Long Island. There has also been an error of which the Scudder Association was also guilty in one of its issues of Scudder Searches,* giving the error that this Hannah Scudder of Long Island md. 2) Joshua Bangs of Massachusetts. Joshua Bangs md. this Hannah's 1st cousin Hannah, daughter of John Scudder the immigrant, (John) and wife Hannah Unknown of Barnstable, and not Hannah, daughter of John Scudder (Thomas, the immigrant.) See Edward Bangs bio in "The Great Migration" source included with the John Scudder family of Barnstable.
Scudder Searches, v. 1, no. 2, (Summer 1989) gave both the correct citation for Hannah daughter of John (J) and Hannah unknown as wife of Joshua Bangs on page 4. The error was on page 9 of the same issue in speaking of Hannah daughter of John (son of Thomas T, the immigrant).
