• Notes

  As a missionary, Bradford went to Africa in 1917. where he labored for 16 years in the Congo. He was ordained a minister in British East Africa. He had pastorates in Durban and Johannesburg. On his way to Africa in 1918, his ship was mined and sunk not far from Cape Town. He and his wife were survivors floating in one of three lifeboats for three days before being rescued.
