  • Notes
    • In February 1913, Milton's mother took part in a suffragist march from Newark, New Jersey, to Washington, District of Columbia. Milton was the bugler for the march. The marchers arrived in the capital on the eve of President Wilson's inauguration and participated in the famous suffrage parade in March 1913.

Milton must have enjoyed the city, because in 1917, he was appointed an assistant electrical engineer in the Department of Commerce.
