Notes - Lou was a 1943 graduate of Bridgeton High School and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater and received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with three stars. He received the Cumberland County Distinguished Service Medal. Upon discharge, he returned to the Bridgeton area and worked for Seabrook Farms and Chiari's Hardware Store before becoming a brick mason. He began working for the late John Carr and later was self-employed before working for many years at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton. He retired in 1984 when the plant closed. He was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Bridgeton.
