Notes - After her second husband's death, Esther was alone, she had to sell their business to pay the lawsuits surrounding his death. Her dad died in 1959 and she went to live with and care for her mother. Her mother died in 1969 and Esther was truly alone. Her one living sister and brother had not seen her for many years. Esther went to a hospital for a gallbladder operation in 1971 and while doing well in the recovery room later, suddenly died of what doctors said was a blood clot. Those close to her said she died of a broken heart.
Esther was a bright, energetic and talented person. She drove a truck, repaired whatever needed fixing, sewed and created many household items. She had a great sense of humor and loved to be around friends.
