  Mary graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in education and a certificate in library science and earned a Masters Degree in library science from the George Peabody College for teachers. She was retired from Lynchburg College where she served as Director Emerita of the Knight-Capron Library. Because of her dedication, service, and contributions to the college community, Lynchburg College established an academic award in her honor. The Mary C.
