    • Isabelle and her husband, Ernest, owned and ran the Chevy Chase School for Girls in Washington, DC. It was her legacy of the School to the Scudder Association in 1951 that, after the school's sale, enabled the Scudder Association to carry on its philanthropic work of help to the hospitals in Ranipet and Vellore and Association scholarships to needy students.
