• Notes

  Chauncey was educated in the public schools of New York and Stanford Academy, and having passed the State examination, was licensed to teach in the public schools of New York. After teaching school for two years he came to Baltimore, and in the autumn of 1892 began the study of medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he graduated, and then practiced medicine. He was elected a member of the Maryland House of Delegates in 1897.
